About

I am an activist. The rights of the most vulnerable are the rights that need defending most and so I often find myself campaigning for and with women and children in Africa.

I am in the process of making Positive Women (a charity I founded: http://www.positivewomen.org) a force to be reckoned with and looking for some people to join me in the fight for equality.

I have been involved in campaigning and development management for nine years, most recently as International Director of The One Foundation and before that  leading Pump Aid, a water and sanitation NGO through a period of growth and expansion. In 2007  I won the Sheila McKechnie conflict resolution award for my campaigning work on democracy in Zimbabwe. I have also led a number of international campaigns including, dignity period, which, in partnership with Bodyform, provided millions of women and girls in Zimbabwe with the dignity of sanitary protection.
